Epistemic utility theory uses norms from decision theory to examine problems in epistemology. Our work on comparative likelihood is in this vein, but I have recently been trying to develop a more general theory of epistemic value.
I am optimistic that this approach will shed light on norms governing consistency, uncertainty, and inference. I believe that it provides an interesting alternative to more popular ways of developing accuracy-first epistemology.
